Position Summary:

Role is responsible for the coordination and support of WNBA, USAB, BAL and (as applicable) NBA Europe team brand identities (including logos, uniforms, game theater and courts), Identity Assurance, (LockerVision, LockerVision Acquisition when applicable) and Court Origins (WNBA) identity programs. In each instance the requirement of the role requires the project management of the timeline and ensuring the required constituents (teams, IP, comms etc.) are all held accountable for each deliverable. The role requires a cross functional mindset. Interaction with multiple departments to achieve group and department goals is paramount. Included in this is the on-going development of Nike/Puma uniform platforms (WNBA and USAB – Nike, BAL - Puma), development of growth league team brand development (BAL and NBAE) and scripting of WNBA uniform schedule and integration of annual anniversary celebrations. The role will support the execution of the auction and trading card businesses through planning and execution in partnership with WNBA Equipment Managers to ensure game worn products are secured and detailed embellishments are serviced. The role will report to the Sr. Director, On-Court & Brand Partnerships – Brand.

Major Responsibilities

  • Ensure all team brands meet league standards, are implemented on time and upkeep is coordinated with IP team accordingly.
  • Assist in the guidance of teams through commemorative logo concepts and long-term identity planning.
  • Coordinate all WNBA, USAB, BAL and NBA Europe uniform, game theater and court matters related to concept, design, development, unveiling, marketing and distribution to teams ensuring all timelines and deliverables are met.
  • Coordinate the LockerVision internal site ensuring uniform scripting, sizing, and images are properly completed and maximize the external site to drive consumer interest and sponsorship revenue.
  • Coordinate the LockerVision Acquisition program to ensure all products are acquired from teams to ensure Auction and Trading card maximization. Inclusive of this is oversight of the various game worn patches related to Trading Card products.
  • When applicable, ensure all WNBA LockerVision b2b internal site, uniform scripting, sizing capture are completed and maximize the external site to drive consumer interest and sponsorship revenue.
  • Support and coordinate partnerships with team equipment managers, team brand identity contacts, outfitting partner Nike/Puma and all retail embellishment partners.
  • Coordinate the process of on-court details of number, color and font approvals across on-court and retail derivation embellishers related to WNBA and USAB team products.
  • Coordinate the upkeep and procurement of digitization of all WNBA Court Origins brand
  • Coordinate team sponsorship jersey, game theater and practice patch program
  • Coordinate WNBA’s team/player number changes
  • Lead product placement outfitting through licensed partners
  • Support the Event and Equipment lead on all matters
  • Contribute to all group event needs related to Locker Room product distribution, creative think sessions and organization of league product supply
  • Expand role to take on TMBO related responsibilities with teams in the WNBA as necessary undefined

Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Expertise in ExcelProficiency in Adobe Illustrator, PowerPoint and SEO or related social/digital media knowledge
  • High level project management instincts
  • High level knowledge of basketball history and current up and coming player pools
  • Organized, pro-active, enthusiastic, task oriented, personable.
  • Energetic, strong communication skills, presentation skills

Experience Needed:

  • No more than 1-2 years experience in the sports licensed or event management discipline proving project management, communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • BS in Marketing or a Sports Management related degree.
  • Masters is preferred.
  • High level collegiate sport background is preferred.

Salary Range:

$75,000 - $83,000
