The candidate brings deep logistics and commercial expertise, knowledge of complex and evolving markets, and the ability to lead large-scale transformation while balancing cost, service, speed, risk, and growth.

This role calls for strategic leadership beyond individual sourcing events. The candidate connects business and network strategy with supplier markets, investment decisions, sourcing roadmaps, and commercial models, while bringing informed perspectives to Procurement and APLA Logistics.

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in logistics procurement, distribution, 3PL, outbound transportation, supply chain operations, category management, strategic sourcing, or a closely related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, operations, finance, engineering, business, program management, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of APLA logistics operations and supplier markets, including distribution, fulfillment, transportation, cross-border movement, and in-country delivery.
  • Proven ability to shape strategy, influence senior leaders, and align stakeholders across regions, territories, functions, and categories.
  • Advanced experience leading complex, high-value RFx events, supplier negotiations, commercial models, contract strategies, and business cases.
  • Experience enabling network transformation and growth, including market expansion, capacity planning, localization, transitions, and scalable operating models.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs across total cost, service, capacity, investment, operations, and risk.
  • Executive presence and clear, influential communication skills, with the judgment to navigate ambiguity and advance complex decisions.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

You will shape and lead procurement strategies across APLA’s distribution, third-party logistics (3PL), and outbound transportation portfolio. You will help unlock regional growth by creating supply chain options, securing competitive and scalable logistics solutions, managing risk, and turning global strategies into practical regional and territory plans.

  • Serve as the senior Logistics Procurement partner for APLA, aligning regional and global leaders on priorities, investment needs, and sourcing roadmaps.
  • Lead procurement strategy for major APLA network and growth initiatives, connecting distribution capacity, 3PL, outbound transportation, service, cost, and risk.
  • Enable geographic expansion by shaping scalable logistics and supplier strategies that support projected revenue and distribution-capacity growth while protecting commercial discipline, service readiness, flexibility, and business continuity.
  • Guide the shift from centralized regional fulfillment to localized market fulfillment by defining procurement priorities across warehousing, supplier strategy, outbound delivery, contract flexibility, transition risk, and total landed cost.
  • Turn global category strategies and APLA business needs into actionable multi-year category plans, sourcing strategies, supplier recommendations, and contracting roadmaps.
  • Lead complex, high-value RFx events, strategic negotiations, and supplier selections from business-case development through award, contracting, transition, and value realization.
  • Build commercial models that balance fixed and variable costs, capacity, productivity, service levels, technology, flexibility, and transition requirements.
  • Analyze spend, markets, suppliers, operations, and financial data to identify savings, cost avoidance, consolidation, and network optimization opportunities.
  • Shape supplier strategies and relationship-management priorities across APLA, including multi-country and multi-category partners.
  • Set strategic direction for Procurement Operations and the procurement managed service provider to drive efficient, consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Develop executive-ready recommendations that clearly frame the business need, options, financial impact, risks, trade-offs, and decisions required.
  • Coach and influence procurement colleagues and cross-functional partners, scale effective practices across APLA, and bring regional market insight to global logistics category strategies.
