Purpose of Role

During this 6-month full-time internship, the Supply Chain Quality Intern will

1. Gain a solid understanding of the eight stages of production, including related procedures, processes, and inspection requirements,
2. Develop a thorough knowledge of UA quality standards for Apparel, Accessories, and Footwear,
3. Acquire the ability on inspection garment, accessories and footwear properly including inspection procedures and standard,
4. Understand and be able to apply UA requirements and procedures, with particular focus on the Vendor Guide, Production & Logistics Manual (PLM), and Quality Manual,
5. Learn to effectively use the Pivot88 inspection system for quality evaluation and reporting,
6. Understand and able to apply some PPIC job description,
7. Understand and participate in PTH audits and CFA in-line correlation audits, including their objectives and execution,
8. Develop the ability to train factory personnel on UA quality standards and procedures
9. Improve professional communication skills to communicate with factories clearly, effectively, and confidently.

Your Impact

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The intern will be responsible for arranging their own rental accommodation during assignments at designated factories.

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION (APPAREL, ACCESSORIES AND FOOTWEAR)

During the first 2 weeks to 1 month of practical training on field, the intern must be familiar with the job duties below.

Together with Field QA:

• monitoring sewing quality based on UA high-quality standard by conducting inline inspection and follow up improvement including providing report and corrective action presentation.

Together with Field QA/ CFA:

• Monitor folding way and packaging: procedures and standard conducting Pre-final and Final inspection using Pivot88
• Conduct PP Meeting with review product risk assessment
• Conduct CFA Inline correlation audit

After 1.5-2 months of practical training on field, the Intern must be familiar with:

• Checking and monitoring fabric inspection; 4 points system, color continuous, shade-band, blanket, fabric weight, Spectro reading and fuse interlining (inspection, procedures & reporting)
• Checking and monitoring trim and accessories; procedures, inspection and reporting
• Checking and monitoring laboratory testing; testing process, standard and reporting.
• Checking and monitoring Embellishment (HTL, Printing and Embroidery); inspection procedures and reporting
• Checking and monitoring Spreading and cut panel: inspection procedures, process and standard

SPECIFIC JOB DESCRIPTIONS FOR FOOTWEAR

Continue after 3-4 months practical footwear on field Intern QA must be familiar with below job desc:

• Check material incoming and make sure all material passed laboratory test result before use in production.
• Make sure cutting process following best practice.
• Check preparation and 2nd process PFC and best practice of upper include make sure test result
• Check stitching process following PFC and best practice
• Check bottom process rubber, injection phylon, CMP, EVA before send to stock fitting process6. Check stock fitting process
• Check and monitor Assembly process
• Check bonding process and laboratory test result
• Evaluate every model and each hour shoes quality at finishing line
• Check inspection following UA quality standards

Ultimately, the intern is expected to provide PPT presentations for all above points and present them to related departments.

Additional Job Desc related to PPIC department

After 1-2 weeks of practical training related to PPIC, the intern is expected to assist in:

• making Packing list, shipping status,
• calculating fabric consumption,
• inventory control of packaging material.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from any major is welcome; Fresh graduate is also welcome
• Fluent in English
• Welcome students from any year of study
