About the role
Red Bull Advanced Services have an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate to join our IT Software Development team based in Milton Keynes. You will be a valued member of the team where you will help develop, maintain and support our internal systems across our Chassis and Powertrains functions as well as developing internal tools to help optimise the working practices of the IT Software Development team. This placement will provide you with an amazing opportunity to understand how a software development team supports the business demands to achieve its goals.
You’ll need to be highly analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in the application of these skills within the field of software development. The ability to communicate effectively is a pre-requisite, as you’ll be dealing with a variety of people at different levels across the business. The role will be technically hands-on, with a strong culture of doing what needs to be done. Project work is a key part of this role, and you will be expected to work both autonomously and as part of a team. In return you will gain experience in a range of services and technologies. Candidates should be studying a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computing or Information Systems related degree.
The main accountabilities of the roles are:
- Development of web applications both internally for the IT Software Development team and for the wider RBTG group
- Understanding of Software Engineering principles and methods
- Confidence and ability to develop software solutions within a structured development lifecycle
- Understanding of the F1 industry with an exposure to a wide range of F1 technical/business systems and processes
- Technical approach to problem solving
- Deliver excellent customer service and provide excellent communication skills
- Passionate about building relationships and working with people across various teams
