About the role

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH The Maintenance Engineer is part of the Facilities team at Nike Korea Distribution Center (DC). This role collaborates closely with DC teams such as Operations, Planning, Technology, Inventory, Admin, and A/S, as well as external vendors. Reporting directly to the Facilities Manager based in Korea, you will interact with other engineers, operators, and support staff to ensure seamless facility operations. The team is known for its commitment to operational excellence, safety, and innovation in logistics automation.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR Nike is seeking a Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in utility equipment management (e.g., boiler, chiller), Material Handling Equipment (e.g., ASRS, conveyor), and other critical facilities in the DC. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical skills, a legal certification relevant for boiler operation, and a proven track record in maintaining both utility and automated equipment. We value detail-oriented, safety-focused individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and are proactive problem solvers.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in maintenance or engineering, preferably with utility and automated equipment.
  • Associate degree or higher in engineering or a related field.
  • Must have a legal certification for boiler operation. Additional certifications related to electricity, firefighting, or safety are a plus.
  • Experience with logistics automation systems is a plus, especially with hands-on experience in ASRS operations and maintenance.
  • Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation and maintenance of utility equipment and Material Handling Equipment in the DC. You will ensure compliance with safety standards, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and support the overall facility team in managing a wide range of equipment.

  • Manage and maintain utility systems such as boilers, chillers, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Perform breakdown, preventive, and corrective maintenance on DC facilities such as ASRS, conveyor, fire protection system, and electrical equipment.
  • Monitor equipment performance and conduct root cause analysis for failures.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations, maintaining required certifications.
  • Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for maintenance support and troubleshooting.
  • Manage inventory for spare parts and critical components.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects to improve facility reliability and efficiency.
