About the role
At DAZN Hyderabad, we are looking for a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for building scalable backend services, developing robust APIs, and contributing to cloud-native solutions that power DAZN’s global streaming platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and TypeScript .
- Build and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs using frameworks such as Nest.js or Express.js .
- Work closely with frontend, product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams to deliver end-to-end features.
- Implement scalable data models and integrations with NoSQL and SQL databases.
- Develop cloud-native microservices and deploy solutions on AWS or other cloud platforms.
- Ensure high performance, reliability, and security of backend systems.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following engineering best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and sprint ceremonies.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and operational efficiency.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Expertise in Node.js with TypeScript
- Hands-on experience creating APIs using frameworks like Nest.js , Express.js , or similar (TS/JS).
- Strong understanding of NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB .
- Good understanding of SQL databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL .
- Experience with cloud platforms , preferably AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, etc.).
