WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH You will work closely with teams across the enterprise, including Consumer Creation, NXT, Demand & Capacity, Chemical Engineering, Tooling Engineering, Modernization, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, and our Manufacturing Partners. You will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining the manufacturing systems, processes, and tools we rely on every day to deliver on our commitment to the athlete*.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR As a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering in the Nike Footwear Manufacturing Engineering team, you will be part of a global team committed to delivering excellence to our product teams and consumers every day. Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree, preferably a Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or a scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the footwear industry across manufacturing, engineering, and/or development.
- Demonstrated experience working across multiple functions and stakeholders.
- Experience applying knowledge of Manufacturing Operations, including systems, processes, technologies, and materials required to consistently produce finished goods to measurable standards, to identify opportunities and drive progress against business goals.
- Strong understanding of data, statistical methods, and analytical tools, with the ability to leverage insights for fact-based decision-making.
- Proven team player and people leader with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire others.
- Forward-thinking and conceptual mindset. Proactively seeks diverse inputs and potential solutions; consistently challenges the status quo and thinks beyond traditional solutions and approaches.
- Fluent verbal and written English language skills.
- Proficient in standard MS Office applications and business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON
- Be accountable for ensuring manufacturing partners' progress against Nike's strategic goals and adherence to Nike's manufacturing and quality standards.
- Partner with Footwear Manufacturing Systems Engineering and manufacturing factory teams to evaluate the effectiveness of global strategic initiatives.
- Work closely with Manufacturing & Engineering leadership and partner teams to ensure standardized best practices are effectively implemented on the factory floor and that future-ready skills and competencies are developed.
- Participate in product tear-down meetings to provide manufacturing feedback, identify potential risks and manufacturability challenges, and drive issue resolution.
- Leverage your footwear expertise and utilize appropriate assessment tools to scale new capabilities and innovations at the factory level.
- Ensure the manufacturability and manufacturing readiness of innovative methods of make and emerging technologies.
- Drive the successful implementation of manufacturing innovations while supporting continuous improvement across factory operations.
- Manage the performance of the Manufacturing Engineering team and foster the development of diverse, high-performing teams and future leaders.
- Create and maintain succession plans for key positions within the organization to ensure long-term organizational capability and growth.
