YOUR INTERNSHIP ROLE As an Intern Global eCom Trading you will be part of the Global eCom Trading team, a group that plays a key role within adidas by improving onsite assortments, journeys and findability across the globe. In simple terms, eCom Trading is about helping the right products show up in the right way for consumers online, while using data to improve performance. The team works closely with local market teams and is involved in identifying areas that work well, scaling these and improving operational excellence, contributing directly to adidas’ overall success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO & LEARN You’ll learn about all domains that are critical to trading an eCommerce business, namely:

Buying & Planning

  • Assisting with Assortment Reviews and recommendations to local market Buying & Planning teams to optimize the product selection on our website.
  • Supporting the preparation of Trading Reporting deriving insights from how products are performing on our website to drive action across the globe.

Consumer Experience

  • Research emerging industry trends, consumer preferences and competitive strategies from external sources as well as teams within the company to further improve our assortment, experience and product data.
  • Help improve our Agentic Commerce / AI Discovery by creating a overview of AI-powered search, conversational commerce, and merchandising experiences.

Product Data

  • Evaluating how product data attributes like color, sport, fit, gender, size, or material help consumers find the right products online. Recommend opportunities to optimize, modernize or simplify.
  • Identify new consumer-facing terms and product attributes that may require updates to product data approaches.

Additional Learning Opportunities

  • Assisting our Trading Operations team with building and testing our Reporting prompt library to automate the generation of analytical datapoints and insights.
  • Gain hands-on exposure to data analytics, reporting automation, LLMs, business prompt engineering and end-to-end reporting process development.
  • Supporting the Director Projects & Programs with the preparation of meetings and events that drive global eCom culture and leadership.

WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A MATCH

  • Enrolled as a fulltime student for the entire duration of the internship
  • Studying Business, Economics, Fashion, eCommerce, Data Analytics or similar
  • Available for the full internship period 01/02/2027 - 31/07/2027
  • Comfortable working in English, both speaking and writing.
  • Motivated to learn, curious, and open to feedback
  • Interest in eCommerce, analytics and sports & fashion
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and data visualization/reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau; familiarity with eCommerce platforms, web analytics tools, AI tools or prompt engineering is a plus.
  • Passion for sport and/or an active lifestyle

INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS

  • Start Date - End Date: Feb 1st - Jul 31st
  • Duration: 6 months
  • Working hours: 39 hours per week (full-time)
  • Contract type: Internship (student status required throughout)
  • Holidays: 10 days during the internship
  • Location: Hoogoorddreef 9A, 1101 BA Amsterdam, The Netherlands
  • Transportation costs: Covered by adidas
