As Head of HR, Japan & Asia, you will lead the People function across Japan and our expanding Asia business, partnering with senior executives to build high-performing teams, strengthen our culture,
develop future leaders, and ensure our organisation is positioned for long-term success.
This is far more than a traditional HR leadership role. You will be a member of the regional leadership
team, acting as both a strategic advisor and operational leader, helping shape business decisions through a people lens while building an organisation capable of scaling across Asia.

The Role
As Head of HR, Japan & Asia, you will lead DAZN's People strategy across the region, ensuring our organisation, leadership capability, talent, culture, and employee experience enable the business to
achieve its commercial ambitions. Reporting to the regional executive leadership while partnering closely with Global People leadership, you will own the full People agenda across Japan and Asia, providing
strategic direction while remaining actively involved in execution.
You will lead all aspects of Human Resources, including:

This is a senior leadership position requiring exceptional commercial acumen, executive influencing
skills, strong regional HR expertise, and the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
What You'll Be Doing:
HR Leadership
- Lead the People function across Japan and Asia, ensuring HR strategy directly supports DAZN's business priorities and long-term growth.
- Serve as the senior HR advisor to the Japan CEO and regional leadership team.
- Build and continuously evolve the People roadmap to support organisational growth across Asia.
Strategic Business Partnership
- Partner with executive leaders to shape organisational strategy through workforce planning, organisational design, succession planning, and leadership capability.
- Coach senior leaders on organisational effectiveness, leadership performance, and team development.
- Lead organisational transformation and change initiatives across multiple markets.
Organisation & Talent
- Design and/or enhance scalable operating models and organisational structures that enable business performance
- Lead workforce planning in partnership with Finance and Talent Acquisition.
- Build leadership succession and talent development frameworks across the region.
- Drive performance management and career development programs.
Culture & Employee Experience
- Champion DAZN's culture, values, and leadership behaviours across Asia.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives that strengthen collaboration, inclusion, and accountability.
- Ensure employees remain connected to DAZN's vision and strategic priorities.
Employee Relations & Governance
- Lead complex employee relations matters and executive-level HR issues.
- Ensure compliance with employment legislation across Japan and Asia while maintaining alignment with global HR policies.
- Oversee governance of HR policies, employee documentation, and regulatory compliance.
Regional & Global Collaboration
- Partner with Global People Centres of Excellence to deliver enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Use workforce analytics and people insights to improve organisational performance.
- Share regional insights to help shape global People strategy.
What You'll Bring:
- Significant HR leadership experience as an HR Director, Head of HR, or equivalent role in a fast-paced international organisation, with a proven ability to build and lead high-performing HR teams.
- Strong track record of partnering with senior leaders, influencing decision-making, and aligning People strategies with business priorities and commercial outcomes.
- Experience leading HR across Japan and other Asia markets, with deep understanding of local employment practices, labour considerations, and cultural dynamics.
- Solid knowledge of Japan employment law and HR best practices; knowledge of Taiwan employment law is an advantage.
- Demonstrated expertise in organisational design, workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, and change management.
- Strong employee relations capability, including managing complex and sensitive matters with sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and influencing skills, with the ability to translate people insights into actionable recommendations.
- Fluent in both Japanese and English, with experience operating in multicultural and matrixed organisations.
