Manager – Buying & Merchandising (Digital)

Channels: Own E-commerce (.com and app) + Partner Commerce (Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio and Amazon)
Role Purpose
Own the buying, merchandising and commercial performance of the Digital business across Own E-commerce and key partner platforms including Flipkart, Myntra, Ajio and Amazon. Drive profitable growth through the right assortment, digital channel strategy, inventory and in-season trading.
Pre-Season Responsibilities
- Develop seasonal business plans across sales, margin, OTB, inventory and channel targets.
- Lead digital assortment and range planning across Own E-commerce and partner platforms.
- Define the right product, category, price-point and option mix by platform based on consumer and channel dynamics.
- Drive seasonal sell-in, OTB and range discussions with digital partners.
- Identify digital assortment gaps, whitespace and opportunities across categories and price points.
- Partner with Brand, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, CTC/Creation and Digital teams to ensure seasonal readiness.
- Drive platform-specific range and launch strategies while maintaining alignment with overall brand and channel architecture.
In-Season Responsibilities
- Own weekly/monthly digital business performance across sales, margin, sell-through, inventory and availability.
- Analyse performance by platform, category, product and price point and identify growth opportunities.
- Drive replenishment, reallocation, markdown and cancellation decisions based on business performance.
- Optimise digital assortment and inventory across Own E-commerce and partner platforms.
- Monitor platform trends, consumer behaviour, competition and promotional activity to drive trading actions.
- Work with partners to maximise visibility, launches, campaigns and commercial opportunities within agreed brand guardrails.
- Ensure strong execution of digital launches, product availability, pricing and promotional plans.
- Build strong relationships with key digital partners and drive joint business priorities.
Experience & Skills
- 6–8 years of experience in digital buying, merchandising, e-commerce, category management or commercial roles.
- Experience across fashion, sports, footwear, apparel, retail or e-commerce preferred.
- Strong understanding of digital consumer, assortment planning, OTB and in-season trading.
- Strong analytical, commercial and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing e-commerce platforms/partners and cross-functional teams.
- Strong influencing and negotiation capabilities with proficiency in Excel and business analytics.
