WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role sits within EMEA Client Engineering and reports to the Manager, Client Engineering. The engineer collaborates with regional and global Windows, endpoint, infrastructure, security, cloud, retail technology, and operations teams to build dependable platforms and raise engineering standards across Nike.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Nike is looking for a versatile senior engineer with broad Windows platform knowledge, strong software engineering fundamentals, and the judgment to work beyond a single technical specialty. The candidate combines hands-on engineering depth with curiosity across automation, endpoint management, infrastructure, cloud services, virtual desktop technologies, and operational reliability. They write maintainable code, understand modern delivery practices, and use automation to replace repetitive manual work. Just as importantly, they lead through example: setting expectations for quality, documentation, testing, ownership, security, and collaboration. The right person is comfortable challenging established approaches constructively, creating clarity in ambiguous situations, and influencing technical direction without relying on formal authority. They enjoy sharing knowledge, reviewing the work of others, and helping a team become more consistent and effective. This role suits an engineer who wants room to shape their focus over time while remaining accountable for measurable business and technology outcomes.
- Typically 7+ years of relevant experience in software, platform, endpoint, infrastructure, or systems engineering.
- Strong Windows engineering experience, with working knowledge of endpoint management, identity, security, networking, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Demonstrated coding and automation capability using technologies such as PowerShell, Python, Perl, or Java, together with Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with modern virtual desktop platforms, cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code, observability, or enterprise-scale automation is strongly valued.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
You will engineer and modernize Windows platform services used across Nike, while helping the team establish consistent ways of working. You will combine software engineering, automation, technical leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to improve security, reliability, scalability, and the employee experience.
- You will design, build, automate, and improve enterprise-scale Windows platform capabilities across endpoint, infrastructure, cloud, and virtual desktop environments.
- You will develop maintainable tools, services, scripts, and automation using sound software engineering practices, version control, testing, and peer review.
- You will build and improve CI/CD pipelines that enable secure, reliable, observable, and repeatable delivery.
- You will set the standard for engineering quality, documentation, operational readiness, ownership, and continuous improvement within the team.
- You will lead technical investigations, architecture discussions, proofs of concept, and modernization initiatives that address complex business and technology challenges.
- You will partner with global and regional engineering, security, operations, retail technology, and product teams to turn shared requirements into scalable solutions.
- You will mentor colleagues, share knowledge, provide constructive technical feedback, and shape your own area of focus as the organization and its priorities evolve.
