  • Inspect assemblies throughout manufacture, ensuring correct procedures are followed and consistently high standards of workmanship and quality are maintained.
  • Carry out Cirris electrical testing of harness assemblies, identifying and reporting faults, and service harnesses following use, including cleaning, inspection, damage assessment and repairs.
  • Manufacture and rework electrical assemblies for engineering test rigs, support equipment and panels, including cable terminations and connector installation for sensors and actuators.
  • Produce harness mock-ups, determine routing and dimensional requirements, and prepare sketches or drawings to capture the necessary details.
  • Support vehicle build, on-car testing, fault-finding, race and test event preparation, and the installation and commissioning of engineering test rigs, as required.
  • Maintain accurate manufacturing and service records, updating procedures and processes and contributing to continuous improvement within the department.
  • Work collaboratively across Electronics, Production and Engineering to meet delivery requirements, maintaining high standards of safety, quality and reliability in a demanding, fast-paced environment.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Strong, demonstrable experience in prototype and production wiring harness manufacture, ideally within motorsport or another demanding engineering environment.
  • Practical knowledge of System 25 wiring harness manufacturing standards and processes.
  • Proven experience manufacturing, assembling, inspecting, testing and reworking electrical harnesses and assemblies to engineering specifications.
  • Experience working with electrical systems for vehicles, test equipment, engineering rigs or control panels.
  • The ability to interpret engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation and wiring specifications accurately.
  • Experience with electrical testing, fault identification and harness inspection.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a consistent focus on workmanship, reliability and quality.
  • A self-motivated, proactive approach, with the confidence to work independently and take ownership of tasks through to completion.
  • The ability to prioritise effectively, remain calm under pressure and deliver to demanding timescales.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a clear commitment to health, safety and continuous improvement.
